
With over 200 delegates, 28 speakers and 13 sponsors, Iraq Telecoms 2009 was an outstanding success. The strategic conference provided an excellent platform for the local Iraqi mobile operators, network service providers, the WLL operators and satellite operators to hear frist-hand from the leading industry figures and legislators about the present situation of the Iraqi Telecoms Industry.
The senior management of the Iraqi Media Communications Commission represented by Dr Burhan Al Shawi the Chief Executive Officer, the Iraqi Ministry of Communications, the KRG Ministry of Communications and the Iraqi Parliament represented by H.E. Mohammed Tawfik Allawi, came together to discuss the current and future issues afecting the industry.
The conference this year, gathered all the Iraqi telecommunications stakeholders, who actively participated and contributed to lively and open debates.
Amongst the critical topics discussed at this year's event were the main achievements of the CMC in developing regulatory rules and procedures according to international standards.
